Methods of Evaluation

Attendance/Participation: You are expected to log on to this course at least every 72 hours. Do not get into the habit of only logging on Monday evenings before assignments are due or your discussion grades will be affected.

Weekly Assignments: Every week, one primary culture will be covered. All assignments will be posted under the “modules” tab in CANVAS. ALL assignments within the weekly module are due by Monday at midnight, even if a date is not listed. They will primarily consist of videos to watch (often with short quizzes) and/or discussion questions to answer. Because we do not have a text, outside sources always need to be used in your research, so PLEASE DOCUMENT and quote when necessary. Even opinion answers need back-up documentation in order to be a quality response!

All assignments will be closed permanently one week past the due date. Late work will receive a point deduction, and work not completed within 7 days will receive a 0.

Tests: For each subject, you must complete a test. You will take all of your tests ONLINE, in a TIMED format. You will not have enough time to look up all of your questions, so you need to prepare for this. Tests must be completed by midnight, Monday, and will cover PowerPoints and other relevant information.

Numerical Interpretation: All test scores, writing assignments, and extra credit points are totaled toward a final grade point average. Avoid penalties for late work by turning in assignments on time.
