ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance at all scheduled class sessions is expected. If a student has missed more class hours than the number of credit hours to be earned in the class, the instructor may record the grade of “F” for the course. Failure of the student to attend class does not constitute withdrawal. The student must make a formal written withdrawal through the Office of Admissions and Records.

CLOTHING: This is a class introducing some of the skills needed in the use of basic tools common to the electrical industries. As such you will come prepared for every session expecting lab time. You will be required to have safety glasses/goggles, hardhat, long pants (preferred), shoes (preferable boots) no sandals, flip flops, etc. Failure to do so will mean you will be excused from lab for that session. If you are excused from lab “for cause”, including but not limited to, failure to wear appropriate clothing and/or PPE, horse play, abuse or misuse of tools & equipment, or any “non-class” related incidents deemed dangerous or inappropriate by the instructor, you will not be permitted to make up any assignments for that lab/class session. If the instructor has to ask more the one time to wear PPE you do bring to class, it may result in you being asking to leave as well.
