Course Description
The student will describe the principles of operation of manual transmissions and drivelines. He or she will apply these principles to diagnose and repair clutches, manual transmissions, drivelines, and differentials.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify automatic transmission/transaxle components
  2. Perform general transmission and transaxle diagnosis
  3. Perform transmission/transaxle maintenance and adjustment
  4. Perform transmission/transaxle repair
  5. Perform disassembly and assembly of an automatic transmission/transaxle.
  6. Perform inspection and service on automatic transmissions, transaxles, and related components
