Course Description
This course emphasizes OSHA workplace safety requirements, and instills proper safety practices and procedures for working in an industrial or construction environment. As the primary course content, students will have the opportunity to earn third-party certificates for OSHA 10-hour training (online); American Red Cross First Aid (face-to-face) and American Red Cross CPR (face-to-face).

  1. Pass/complete OHSA’s 10 general industry certification
  2. Pass/complete CPR certification
  3. Pass/complete First Aid certification

Methods of Evaluation

OSHA’s 10 hour general industrial certificate = 60%

Eight percent reduction if the OSHA 10 if not completed before the eight week in the semester - 3/23/26

Another Eight percent reduction if the OSHA 10 if not completed before the twelfth week in the semester - 4/20/26

Completion of CPR/First Aid certificate = 35%

100 - 93 = A

92 - 85 = B

84 - 78 = C

77 – 71 = D

70 below= F
