This course will acquaint the student with basic concepts and methods used in the study of sociology. Materials will cover major social differences, such as class, race, sex, age, and deviant behavior. Institutions of social life, such as family, education, religion, power, and work will be examined.

3. There are also weekly online quizzes. The quizzes will open at the start of the week and will close at 11:59 on Saturday night. Please be aware and take the quiz prior to the close of the quiz. I will not reopen a quiz once it has closed.
